Today is the 80th anniversary of the WWII bombing of North Strand when four bombs were dropped over the area by German aircraft.
A ceremony was held earlier to remember the 28 people who lost their lives on the night of May 30/31 1941.
Wreaths were laid during the ceremony with Lord Mayor of Dublin Hazel Chu, German ambassador Deike Potzel, and two survivors of the bombing each laying a wreath at the remembrance plaque in North Strand.
