Closing date is fast approaching for Miss Dublin 2020

Applications have been flooding in for Miss Dublin 2020 but will be closing on Sunday, September 27.

Entries are open to females aged 18 to 27 years of age who are either originally from or based within Dublin.

Five titles will be awarded with Miss Dublin City, East, North, South and West titles up for grabs. These five lucky ladies will represent Dublin in the Miss Ireland final with one of them possibly going on to represent Ireland on the World stage at Miss World next year.

Current Dublin title holders Sophie Kelly (City) Megan Hurley (North) Laura Doyle (West) Chloe O Loughlin (South) and Bronwyn O Connell represented Dublin in the 2019 event.

Brendan Marc Scully Miss Ireland owner & Creative Director says: “Over the years we have had some fantastic representatives from Dublin with many going on to be crowned Miss Ireland such as Holly Carpenter and Sarah Morrissey and of course our very own Miss World winner Rosanna Davison.

“Other girls who have taking part credit their involvement to building confidence, making friends and a stepping stone in their chosen careers.

“We are delighted to be able to make the Dublin selection happen given the current times and will be working on a mix of virtual / live format for selection similar to our recent Miss Mayo final with full details being announced shortly.”

Successful candidates will move forward to interview stage and then to the final of Miss Dublin 2020 which will be held in November in ‘Twenty Two Dublin’ South Anne Street, Dublin 2

Conceived in 1947, Miss Ireland is one of the longest running beauty pageant in the world and counts a host of famous faces in Ireland from models, broadcasters, bloggers to Business owners.

Rosanna Davison represented Ireland at Miss World 2003 and won the Title; and Emma Waldron was placed in the Top 5 at Miss World 2010.

The last time Dublin secured the title of Miss Ireland was with Raheny native Holly Carpenter in 2011.
