A woman has admitted to endangerment in that she drove in the direction of a garda who was standing out of his vehicle on a Dublin motorway almost four years ago.
Gemma Greene (27) of Bunratty Road, Coolock, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to recklessly engaging in conduct in such a manner as to drive in the direction of a garda, who was out of his vehicle, forcing him to take evasive measures to stop him being struck on the M50 motorway at junction 9 Northbound on March 3, 2021.
Maddie Grant BL, prosecuting, said the State would accept the plea to endangerment on the basis of recklessness.
Gregory Murphy BL, defending, told the court his client has not come to garda attention since and was going through a troubled time at that time.
Judge Martin Nolan set a sentence date of March 19 next.
