Revenue seize chewing tobacco worth €660,000 at Dublin Port

Yesterday, 30/10/2024, as a result of risk profiling, Revenue officers seized 1,200 kgs of chewing tobacco at Dublin Port.

 

The illicit tobacco, which had an estimated value of €660,000, originated in India and arrived into Dublin Port via the Netherlands.

 

Investigations are ongoing.

 

This seizure is part of Revenue’s ongoing operations targeting the supply and sale of illegal cigarettes and tobacco in the shadow economy.
