In 1995, David Bowie, in collaboration with Brian Eno, released a concept album called 1. Outside.
It contained a booklet outlining backstories for the cast of very outside characters that peopled the album.
Originally intended to be performed as a rock opera, Outside became a cult classic.
Peter Quinn has been channeling Bowie for 15 years as the singer with the highly regarded Rebel, Rebel, a Bowie Tribute band with a difference.
He has worked with the Bowie Alumni and Art Crime.
Bowie’s guitarist and friend, Ireland’s very own Gerry Leonard, even said that playing with Peter “was the closest thing to playing with Bowie I’ve experienced.”
For a very unique opportunity to see a live performance of one of Bowie’s more complex albums in an intimate setting, Peter will be performing this coming Saturday, November 16th, at The Lexicon Library Studio Space in Dun Laoghaire.
Tickets are available on Eventbrite €15.
